We package our Large-scale Generation Certificate (LGC) services as our 100% Renewable Energy product. We make it easy for residential buildings, commercial and retail buildings, and industrial sites to create, manage, and benefit from renewable energy generation while meeting sustainability goals.

For sites with more than 100kW of solar installed

When your building, community Embedded Network, or Local Energy Network generates solar power, it also creates LGCs. Each LGC represents one megawatt-hour of renewable energy produced and serves as official proof that clean energy was generated.

Energy On helps manage the full process for you, including:

Implementation: We manage the registration of your solar system with the Clean Energy Regulator (CER), so your Embedded Network or Local Energy Network is eligible to create LGCs.

Ongoing management: Each year, we calculate the renewable energy output, register, and manage your LGCs, and then work with you to decide whether to:

  • Sell the LGCs to generate additional revenue for your site, or
  • Surrender the LGCs so you can credibly claim towards your network operating on 100% renewable energy.
  • Purchase of additional LGCs in case generation does not meet 100% of site consumption.

This service provides a compliant, transparent, and financially rewarding way for solar generators within embedded networks to benefit from their renewable energy generation.

For sites without solar generation

If your site does not have solar installed, you can still participate in the renewable energy market. Energy On will buy LGCs equal to your site’s yearly electricity use and surrender them on your behalf. This process helps offset your energy use and allows your site or tenants to claim 100% renewable energy.

Our 100% Renewable Energy Product provides:

  • Proof of renewable energy claims through surrender certificates. These certificates function as official evidence, and electricity invoices can display the Energy On “100% Renewable” logo.
  • Public transparency through Energy On’s annual report on renewable energy usage, while your site can publish its own sustainability proof or surrender statements.
  • Flexible packaging: Site and system owners receive tailored proposals, while tenants within an embedded or local energy network can easily add a 100% renewable energy option to their customer application form when they set up their Energy On account, a form we call the Sale of Utility Agreement.
